Pie Noon, part 25

Apologies once more for the delay in this, the final episode of Pie Noon, officially the longest story in the history of The Life of Nob T. Mouse. I’m rather pleased with it, although part of me is wondering whether I should have made more of the finale; possibly allowing the story to stretch to thirty parts. I wonder how much of that is just me wanting to keep going with a story that I feel safe with; it’s a story I know all about since it has been going around my head for the last ten-to-eleven years and I’m comfortable with it. Now it’s over I have to think of another story and that’s kind of scary.

It’s weird to think that after all this time the story is finally completed. It’s done. Finished. There is no more of it. I thought I’d feel a bit more relief, or at least feel something, but I don’t. I’m wondering what is next. What else is in store for Nob Mouse and Co.? It’s a strange revelation that after completing something that has occupied so much of my time, I don’t want to go out and celebrate or anything like that. I just want to go on with something else instead. A case of “that’s done, what’s next?”

I do know what’s next, of course, and soon so will you. For now, however, I’m keeping schtum. Tune in on Monday for the start of a new Series Two story.
