The trouble with a Quantum Santa, part 3

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

Although it’s rather late, I’m rather proud of this episode. It’s a rather technical page, having a lot of little fiddly effects in it such as: multiple overlaid panels; portions of drawings extending out of the panels they’re from and so forth. I had a lot of fun drawing it.

This is also somewhat of a milestone for The Life of Nob T. Mouse as it is the first story to be completed in Series Two. Whether that is of interest to anyone but me is a point of contention but hey, I’m happy. :)

The artwork on this episode isn’t as good as I had hoped, especially for an episode introducing a new character. However, I had an accident a couple of days ago that has left me bruised from my fingers to my elbow. Consequently it’s a little difficult to draw the episode but I didn’t want to fall behind again so soon into the year so I did what I could with the episode.

Pie Noon, part 8

There’s not a lot to say about this week’s comic. It’s another one of those four-panel jobs but I’ve tried to keep it from being a simple “four squares layout” episode. I’m pleased with the amount of background detail in the first panel - it seems like there’s a lot going on, and you can see the ever-present mountains that make up the majority of the landscape in the Nob Mouse universe. Overall, there may be little going on this week but I’d like to think I’ve demonstrated that lack of eventfulness reasonably well.
